The Manifesto

We preserve India's living heritage
through authentic storytelling.

Every village carries history. Every elder carries wisdom. Every family carries memories. Every child carries dreams.

We believe these stories deserve to be documented with honesty, dignity, and cinematic excellence — for generations to come.

Chapter 05 · Projects

Twenty-eight states. One country.

Choose a state to open its living archive — the villages, portraits, and documentaries filmed there.

Chapter 04
IV

The seven
movements.

From curiosity to release. Every film we make moves through the same seven honest steps.

I

Discover

Curiosity is the compass. We look for the villages no one is talking about.

II

Travel

We take the trains, the buses, the boats — we go where the story begins.

III

Observe

We put the camera down. We drink the chai. We watch. We earn the frame.

IV

Listen

Everything the story needs, the story tells you. Slowly, in the local tongue.

V

Capture

Natural light. Small crews. No performance. Nothing between the subject and the truth.

VI

Edit

In the edit we ask: does this feel honest to the people who lived it? If not, we cut it.

VII

Preserve

We release the film into the world — and archive it for the villages that made it.

Chapter 09 · Community

What the community says.

Historians, filmmakers, journalists, village elders — the voices that trust us with theirs.

"RIGHT37 does what libraries used to do — preserve the human voice, in its own accent, before time swallows it."
Dr. Anjali Menon
Historian, Kerala Council for Historical Research
"This is not content. It is conservation. Every frame is a page in a book that would otherwise never be written."
Ranjit Kapoor
Documentary Filmmaker, Mumbai
"A rare studio that films with the community, not about it. That distinction is everything."
Prof. Vikram Iyer
Anthropology, JNU New Delhi
"They came, they sat, they listened. Only then did they lift the camera. That is how it should be."
Naseema Beevi
Village Elder, Malappuram
"RIGHT37 has the patience of a novelist and the eye of a painter. The result is unforgettable."
Aditya Rangan
Journalist, The Caravan
"For our tribal children, seeing themselves on screen — with dignity — is a gift I did not know they needed."
Sr. Mercy Joseph
Social Worker, Wayanad
"
The world doesn't need more content.
It needs more truth.

Chapter 08 · Craft
VIII

Behind the camera — a philosophy.

01

Curiosity

We arrive with questions, not answers.

02

Empathy

We film with people, never at them.

03

Listening

The story is already there. We just make room for it.

04

Ethics

Consent, dignity, and truth — non-negotiable.
